gugudan (also stylized as gu9udan) is a girl group which currently consists of 8 members. they debuted on june 28th 2016 under jellyfish entertainment.
their fandom name is danjjak (dear friend in korean).

FUN FACT: their name "gugudan" means "multiplication table" in korean, which is why every member has a number assigned to them. this order is in order of their numbers.

gugudan has had in total 2 sub-units.
SUB-UNIT GUGUDAN OGUOGU
also known as gugudan5959, consisted of members mina and hyeyeon. 5 is hyeyeon's number, 9 is mina's number. the leader of the unit was mina. after hyeyeon left the group, the unit hasn't been active.
they debuted on august 11st, 2017 with the song ICE CHU.
SUB-UNIT GUGUDAN SEMINA
consists of members sejeong, nayoung and mina. the name of the unit is the first syllables of their names put together. all 3 members were contestants on PRODUCE 101, and all ended up in the top 15.
they debuted on july 10, 2018 with the song SEMINA.

as of july 2019, gugudan has released 3 EPs (acts 1, 2 and 5) and 2 single albums (acts 2 and 3).
FUN FACT: their concept is something similar to theatre, which is why their albums are called acts and each release is inspired by a story, fairytale or movie.
